SUCCESSFUL ACTRESS ŞENAY GÜRLER ENCHANTED PEOPLE OF ANTALYA
Şenay Gürler, who was the guest of the 56th programme of Akra Talks, came together with her fans at Akra Hotels and had a pleasant conversation about 'Turkish Cinema and Theatre'.
In the conversation about the future of cinema and theatre in our changing and digitalising world; she mentioned that digitalisation and projects carried out on digital platforms offer different alternatives to actors. Gürler, who has appeared before the audience with series, cinema and theatre performances throughout his acting career; 'We can experience much more beautiful projects with different scenarios,' he said.
Stating that digitalisation has disadvantages as well as advantages, the successful actor added that the cinema industry has entered a crisis like many other sectors, especially after the pandemic period. Gürler regretfully stated that with the transition to a film world where we have more alternatives through digital platforms, there has been a serious decline in the audience of cinema halls; saying that this situation does not apply to theatre, he said that the magic of watching a movie in a cinema hall is very different and that he believes that the sector will regain its former vitality as soon as possible.
Şenay Gürler, who came to Antalya for the play 'I am Türkan Saylan'; during the interview, she emphasised that she was impressed by how much of a warrior and hopeful woman Türkan Saylan was, and that the image of strong women in our country should be supported more by screenwriters in the cinema and series sectors.
Gürler also added that she was very proud and happy to portray Türkan Saylan and to be in this project, and emphasised that we should accept some of the surprises that life throws at us as they are, but that we should not give up the struggle for what we want.
